Popotovanje
Ta zvok in pogled skozi okno povzročata dremavost. Zasanjano stojimo zunaj sebe. (po Umetnost potovanja, Alain de Botton) //Journey We sit on a train. Our glance is straying between the inside of the carriage and the landscape through the window. We can hear the rhythmical rumble of the train wheels. This sound and the gaze through the window leads us to doze off. Lost in dreams we stand outside ourselves. We can think of our lives from a distance, which we can't achieve among our daily errands. Few places stimulate us to inner dialogue as moving train. The view from it is never dull. It moves just fast enough not to drive us to despair, but still slow enough to distinct particular objects. It offers fleeting, inspiring insight of other privacy. There is an almost thrilling connection between our thoughts and what we see. Thoughts sometimes need broad horizons, new places for new thoughts. (after Art of traveling, Alain de Botton) |
